A short story:
Brian, owner/operator/welder/shipper, built a boat in his spare time after his daily 9-5er. One of Brian's community minded goals with the boat, Common Ground, is to benefit the local youth community. This is accomplished by forming partnerships with groups like the Wilderness Youth Project, here in Santa Barbara, CA, and familiarizing the participants with our local waters.
After the boat was finished (mostly), Brian had free time to put towards something useful that the community could benefit from that would also provide an income stream for the Common Ground boat project.
Having a passion for activities that serve the community, it was decided that manufacturing a low-cost bike trailer in Santa Barbara would assist everyone in utilizing an underutilized resource: the potential of their bicycles!
As a green alternative to cars, bikes represent a viable solution. We're sure you've heard. To help people use bikes for all of their various activities, a light weight high capacity trailer can handle almost any job. (If you have pictures of a large or small job completed with your trailer, send it in so we can post it)
It is our hope that cyclists of all types, coast to coast, will take advantage of the low cost domestically manufactured trailers in order to improve our community, your communities, and local economies.
